What you have received is a secure electronic package. This package contains a document or a set of documents that someone would like you to see.
This package also contains security information about how those documents can be used and for how long. To open the package you will need a program called the Pinion Receiver. This program lets you extract the documents from the package and enforces the security on the documents while you are using them.
If you have the Pinion Receiver already installed, you will see a the Pinion Receiver icon (a green "P") in your "System Tray," which is usually at the bottom right of your computer screen. For example:
