Edward J. Appel, Sr.
Mr. Appel served for 28 years as a Special Agent and Executive of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During his tenure, he spent over two years as Director of Counterintelligence and Security Policy at the White House National Security Council. He currently serves as President and COO, Joint Council on Information Age Crime, where he facilitates public-private sector collaboration to prevent and respond to high-tech crimes. His expertise includes executive management and investigation, counterintelligence and counter-terrorism, surveillance, intelligence collection and analysis, white collar crime, cryptography and organized crime.
